For many manufacturing firms which remain in Britain, the idea of manufacture as a means to a financial end constitutes the whole picture. With us, however, this has never been the case. Our dedication to leading the industry and pushing the boundaries in the sphere of design and manufacturing is nowhere more evident than in our endeavours in the field of Bespoke Design.

Drawing on our experience and our depths of expertise within the catering facet of manufacture, the machines which we have created have paved the way forwards in terms of hog and spit roasting manufacture, not only in the United Kingdom, but the world over. The first of our high profile clients was the famed and much celebrated Jamie Oliver. This man, like us, is a pioneer in terms of culinary finesse and food based dedication. Where he puts is his energies into new dishes, we put our energies into creating new and revolutionary equipment which allows new dishes to be made.

Whenever a new set of design parameters or a new design brief is put forward, it is always, to some extent, a challenge for the engineers to create the manufactured product. In the world of mobile hog and spit roasting machine manufacture, this is often centred on balancing culinary capabilities against the notion of retaining versatility and ease of use. Having mastered this area of hog and spit roast design, it was a relief, honour and a challenge to create the machine which Jamie Oliver stipulated as necessary. First of all, the machine needed to be indoors. To many hog roasting manufacturing firms out there, this first hurdle would have been insurmountable. This, however, is reflected in the fact that we were sought out for the job; and they weren’t. To operate safely indoors, our machines had to generate a huge amount of heat energy, whilst emitting next to no emissions at all. Having overcome this challenge successfully in a very short time, our engineers began to look at other aspects of the machine brief. It was interesting to note, as an observer, just how intrigued and interested our manufacturing team were when it came to tackling the design brief with maximum attention to detail.

Having ensured that the static indoor hog and spit roasting machine was environmentally sound, our designers had to ensure that the machine fulfilled the correct attributes in the arena of aesthetics. Crucial to a restaurant such as Jamie’s Italian on Canary Wharf, our bespoke hog roast machines had to look the part, and to allow the customers who frequented the restaurant premises the chance to see deep within the machine, and thus observe the beautiful cooking process. Our experiences in the manufacture of mobile hog and spit roasting machines allowed us to ensure that the bespoke machine in Jamie’s Italian had a huge range of features for its size. The fact that the machine was not only to be a static piece, but also to be a focal point of the restaurant, placed emphasis both on the effectiveness of the roaster along with the fact that the machine had to be beautiful to behold. Along with numerous new design features, the machine incorporated a removable and mobile serving spit, allowing the customers to really become involved in the flame roasting process. From a highly technical brief, a fantastic machine was created.

In addition to creating catering solutions like the one previously mentioned, we have been approached by hotel and restaurant chains to fulfil other such requests. Recently, we were tasked with designing and manufacturing charcoal based hog and spit roast machines for the pub industry. These machines were to be used in the numerous beer gardens and outdoor dining areas across the country. At the time, the best charcoal roaster on the market resembled a dissected oil-drum, so we were tackling new territory. Not only did we succeed in creating a gorgeous static charcoal machine, we made hog roasting history by designing and implementing a system which allowed the user of the machine to determine the heat levels of the machine; thus the first ever fully heat-controllable charcoal hog roaster was born. Being easily secured with locks and being built of stainless steel, not only do our machines continue to delight pub customers with gorgeous flame-roasted food, but they do so whilst never losing their aesthetic shine, and never, ever breaking down.
